Studies have shown that most Americans have suffered from a lack of body confidence at one time or another. A sad fact is that this negative attitude towards our bodies is starting at a young age. As young as 11 or 12, in fact. Compliment yourself to create body confidence.

Healthy Eating Habit – Compliment Yourself
Compliments are generally given to others, yet rarely given to oneself. Take care of your body the way you would a loved one. Create body confidence by saying positive things about your body and mind and the great things it is capable of accomplishing. Focus on the positive aspects of your body and compliment yourself.
Here are a couple of ways to compliment yourself:
- When you look in the mirror every morning say aloud one thing that you like about yourself. It doesn’t matter what it is and it doesn’t even have to be something about your body. Having confidence in one aspect of your life can create confidence in other areas.
- Another way to compliment yourself is to leave notes around with positive messages. Leave a note in your car, purse or wallet. Hang it on your bathroom mirror so you see it every day.
It may seem silly at first when you begin complimenting yourself aloud or writing notes to yourself but you will get use to it. Most of us have said something negative aloud about ourselves; why not make these things positive?
