How Much Water Should I Drink
|
How much water should I drink does not have a straight forward answer. For a Healthy Living, the minimum is to drink at least 8 glasses (8 oz. glass) of water a day. If your activity level is higher, however, you need to drink more. Every system in our body needs water to function correctly. Fatigue, headache, water retention are only a few of many side effects of not drinking enough water.

Drinking enough water is the most important thing you can do for your diet and to stay healthy. Staying hydrated regulates body temperature, gets rid of waste, transports important vitamins and nutrients throughout the body, and helps with weight loss. The benefits of water are many.
It can be tough to fit in at least 8 glasses of water a day. Knock one out first thing in the morning. This gets your metabolism going and helps keep hunger in check. Before each meal, drink a glass of water to avoid overeating. Also, carry around a water bottle during the day. Have a sip here and there, refill when necessary, and by the end of the day you will have met your daily amount.
So how much water should I drink? Keep in mind that 8 glasses is the minimum. If you workout or live a more active lifestyle, make sure you increase your water intake accordingly.
