Our daily lives are so busy it seems difficult to get in a workout out or find a way to burn more calories. Believe it or not, there are numerous ways to burn more calories other than hitting the gym or going on a jog. One great healthy habit and way to burn more calories is to walk a mall perimeter.

Most Americans visit the mall or a department store at least once a week. Not only is it a great place to shop, but it is also a great place to get in a workout. Don’t believe me? Go to the mall mid-morning and you’ll see that some people will actually power walk with hand weights around the perimeter of the mall. Although I’m not suggesting that you wear full workout gear when you shop at the mall, you should walk the entire perimeter before doing any shopping. If you are really eager to burn more calories, walk around each of the stores you enter as well. You can burn up to 150 calories doing this. Healthy Living and shopping at the same time!

You can extend this burn more calories technique to other places as well. Grocery stores, Department stores and even your place of employment (if you are not running late of course) work great.
