Overcome your fear of trying a new machine. Who knows you may come to love them. If you need help figuring out how to use it, ask a gym employee. Trying something different will keep things interesting for you at the gym. There is nothing worse than doing the same thing day in and day out at the gym. Workout rut will eventually ruin your health and fitness goals. Your motivation will plummet and if you do manage to make it to the gym, you will reach a workout plateau quickly. You will also lose the focus you need to perform your repetitions. You can potentially avoid all of this by simply trying one new machine a week.
Trying one new machine a week will also keep your muscles growing. Working your muscles in various ways will maximize muscle growth because it is harder for them to adapt. Once a muscle adapts, it is harder to tone.
